Castor Oil, which is derived from the Castor Seed (Ricinus communis), is comprised of 90% ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid. Due to its high viscosity, Castor Oil will not freeze in extremely cold temperatures and is, therefore, often preferred over other carrier oils during colder times of the year. Castor Oil is useful for a variety of conditions, including skin irritation & inflammation.
