Even the homemade salves that I make require patience, as our island salve requires a strategic infusion of ingredients over a period of time. I’m a sucker for baked goods, dim sum, & a robust espresso. I try to enjoy them leisurely as growing up with Crohn’s Disease has made my diet choices pretty restricted. It’s taken a few years to manage it better with the right diet & lifestyle changes. I'm thankful I’ve been in remission with no evidence of IBD per my last tests. While remission is great, there's still upkeep to do with proper diet, exercise, & a handful (literally) of supplements.

Our family is originally from the Seychelles Islands. In 1997 our family immigrated to the United States. We landed in Arizona where our patriarch is from and we nestled into Florida a year later.
